2006

Director: Frank Coraci

Distributor: Columbia Pictures / Revolution Studios

Key Elements: Characters – Concept – Message

My Review:

Most of this movie is entertaining fluff. It’s a story I’ve heard before in other places – just given Adam Sandler’s own touch.

But, the movie took a turn that surprised me – and moved me. It makes an awesome statement about the importance of family, and fathers in particular.

I have never cried at any movie so much as the scene where Sandler’s character says goodbye to his dad. It made the movie for me.

  • Like I Said, "Good Guys Need A Break". I know you'll do the right thing this time.
…I love you, son…- I love you. …I'll miss ya... you know that... good-bye.
